This is an informational book that can double as a coloring book created by married couple Bobbi and Frank Cieciorka. Inside, are beautiful black-and-white illustrations of historical Black figures created by Bobbi Cieciorka, with informational passages about said figure alongside it. The authors encourage the reader to color in the drawings as they read. This creates a sense of community and Black Nationalism. A nation needs culture and history. The history written by this pair is by Black people, for Black people, with less chance of it being rewritten or white-washed.
